The EU-CIEMBLY project organized an “Experts Workshop” on 9 July 2025, at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. The event was attended by external speakers with extensive experience in implementing and researching citizens' assemblies and intersectionality, as well as researchers from the project team. The workshop showed how research can contribute to the development of democratic innovation, connecting theory and practice to shape a more democratic and inclusive Europe.

The day after the workshop, the project team held two internal meetings: one to evaluate the event and to assess how to implement what had been discussed in the project, and another with the consortium. As part of the project coordination, a UCILeR team participated in the event. In addition to Dulce Lopes, EU-CIEMBLY coordinator, Fernando Borges and Lucia Muñoz were also present. The presence of the researchers was important for the project to run smoothly.
