Methods Summer School

Cartaz Escola Verao 2017

The Methods Summer School is particularly directed at Master and PhD students in the areas of International Relations and Political Science, exploring qualitative and quantitative techniques used in Social Sciences’ research. It seeks to introduce students to different research methodologies, to raise awareness about the research process and the challenges associated to it, and to assist students regarding data selection, collection and analysis. The central idea of the School is to discuss the ways in which different methodologies may be applied, through an interactive process between the facilitators – experts – and the students. Sessions will be varied, including methods presentation and discussion as well as practical sessions where the use of diverse methods will be simulated/tested..
