FEUC

Master in Economics

Course Structure

The FEUC’s Master in Economics is a three-semester master’s degree, for full time students.

The main language of the programme is Portuguese but there is a considerable and increasing number of course units taught in English. In fact, you can now do the Master in Economics – specialization in Financial in Economics or specialization in Economic Growth and Structural Policies entirely in the English language. Additionally, the main textbooks are in English and in most course units you can write your essays, make presentations and take exams/tests in English. You can also write your final Work project/ Internship report in English. Proficiency in English language is thus highly recommended for foreign students that are not proficient in Portuguese.

In the academic year 2017/18 the following courses will be taught in English: Economics of Financial Institutions and Financial Systems, Financial and Risk Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate Econometrics, Industrial Economics, Economic Growth, Macroeconomics of Development, Labour Economics, Forecasting.
