The FEUC's Master in Economics provides an excellent foundation for a career as a professional economist. Numerous FEUC's Master in Economics graduates have gone on to distinguished careers in economics or related fields.
A number of FEUC's Master in Economics students go on to work in the public/private sector (Bank of Portugal, Instituto de Seguros de Portugal, Deloitte, KPMG, Montepio), do internships (e.g. OECD, ECB), stay in Coimbra to do the PhD in Economics (joint degree with the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal) or go onto PhD courses elsewhere.
The results of a survey to graduates between 2007-08 and 2012-13, show that:
