André Leite
Graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1996), Master's degree in Production Engineering - Department of Production Engineering (1998) and PhD in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2003). In 2008, he completed his postdoctoral studies in Economics at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE/UFRJ). His research focuses on studying electricity markets based on institutional changes, the introduction of competition in the electricity sector, and the introduction and impact of renewable energy sources on the Brazilian electricity matrix. He is the leader of the Energy Transition Study Group (GETE/UFSC) and a member of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).
