The
National Bologna Expert Group prepared a cycle of seminars called “Bologna into Practice”
which began on April 4 and will end on June 27.
The main
goal of this initiative, supported by the European Commission and running at
four Portuguese higher education institutions, is to contribute to the
improvement of the quality and efficiency in the realisation of the Bologna
Process objectives. The sessions are open to the participation of higher
education agents and students.
The first
session took place at the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, on April 4, and the
debate centred on the “System of Cycles and Academic Degrees”. The second
session, under the title “Quality Assurance”, run at the Universidade Lusíada
do Porto, on May 5. The third session will
occur in the Auditório do Colégio Luís António Verney, Universidade de Évora,
on May 30, and the issue under debate will be the “Recognition of Studies and
National Qualifications Framework”.
The fourth
session that will close the cycle is scheduled to June 27 in Lisbon
and participants will discuss “The Bologna Process in Portugal –
Present and Future”. On due time, we will tell you how to register in this
seminar.
