We have been working since late 2016 towards developing and implementing a European survey on the postdoctoral researchers’ current work situation and career perspectives. This will allows us to raise awareness of the problems that concern researchers at this stage of their career, and to assess differences across Europe.
The survey was live from June 2017 to January 2018. We have received over 900 responses, from postdocs of over 50 different nationalities, currently working in over 30 different European countries!
We are now in the process of analysing the data. We will be sharing the results widely via the national postdoc associations involved in ENPA, and through this website. The results of the survey will also help us to decide what issues we should focus on next.
This activity is being coordinated by the Projects’ Committee of the Postdocs@UC, in collaboration with the Karolinska Institutet Postdoc Association (KIPA), The Postdocs of Cambridge (PdOC) Society, Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Postdoctoral Representatives of University of Uppsala, and Postdoctoral Representatives of i3S University of Porto.
