Aliete Cunha-Oliveira

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s in Public Health and is currently preparing her PhD in Nursing Science at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra. She is a researcher at the Centre for 20th Century Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Coimbra (CEIS 20).

She has been a Graduated Nurse at the Celas Health Centre since 1998 and Nurse at the Coimbra Youth Treatment Centre since 1999, and was responsible for the area of Adolescent Health at the Functional Coordination Unit in Adolescent Health, Coimbra, Coimbra health sub-region, (2006).

Her main research interests are: the dynamics, motivation and determinants of health behaviours in young people; adolescent and young adult sexual health; HIV/AIDS preventative practices and peer education; the history of Nursing and professional responsibility of nurses. She has authored and co-authored many scientific articles and book chapters.
