António Guimarães Pinto

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Classical Studies from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra and a PhD (Latin literature) from the University of Minho. He has concentrated his research work in the area of Portuguese Humanism, possessing an ample bibliography of work in respect of the life and work of Dom Jerónimo Osório (translations, essays and academic dissertations), Diogo de Paiva de Andrade (critical introductions, notes, translations and a vast anthology of his entire body of work), António Luís (translations and critical study), André de Resende (translations), António Pinto (translations and historical research) and Erasmus (translations). He has also published in the field of local historical monograms (related to Braga) and on purity in literature (poetry and narration).
