Carlos Morais

Carlos Morais obtained his PHD in ancient Greek Literature by the University of Aveiro, in the specialty of Greek Literature, with a thesis about Sophoclean trimeter: variations of a metric model, published in 2010 (Lisbon, FCT/FCG). He is now Professor of the Department of Languages and Cultures in the University of Aveiro, and has been making his research about Greek literature, mainly theatre, and its reception. He published Portuguese masks of Antigone (Aveiro 2001) and several studies, in books and international periodicals, about the myth of Antigone in Portuguese and Spanish literatures.
