Delfim Ferreira Leão

Professor at the Faculty of Letters, he has a Doctorate in Letters from the University of Coimbra, specialising in the history of classical culture; he is a teacher at the Instituto de Estudos Clássicos and a researcher at the Centre for Humanist and Classic Studies of the same institution. His main areas of interest are ancient history, especially Greek law and political theory, as well as theatrical pragmatics and ancient Roman script. Among his most recent publications are: Law and Drama in Ancient Greece (London: Duckworth, 2010) jointly coordinated by Edward M. Harris and Peter J. Rhodes, and Dez Grandes Estadistas Atenienses (Lisbon: Edições 70, 2010), co-authored with José Ribeiro Ferreira.
