Eliana Pinho

She trained in Phyiscs and Applied Mathematics, and holds a Doctorate in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto. In mathematics her research has focused on symmetry, patterns and networks of coupled cells, and in mathematics/architecture on geometry in Roman architecture and the teaching of descriptive geometry in architectural training courses. She was a teacher in the Department of Mathematics of the Universities of Aveiro and Beira Interior. Interested in common mathematical, artistic and architectural themes and the teaching of mathematics to architects and visual artists, she has taught Spatial Systems and Geometry at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. She has also studied on the Sculpture/Visual Arts course.
