Elysio de Moura

The Portuguese psychiatrist was born in Braga in 1877 and died in Coimbra in 1977. He was awarded a Degree in Medicine by the University of Coimbra and in 1907 he inaugurated the teaching of neurology in Portugal. He was the first President of the Portuguese Medical Association and was responsible for the founding of the Sena Psyciatric Hospital in 1911. He published the following studies: Semiologia dos Reflexos (1901), A Toxidez Urinária (1902 and Anorexia Mental (1947).
