Flávio Pinho

He holds Degrees in Law and History from the University of Coimbra and a Masters in Portuguese Literature and Culture from the Universidade Nova, Lisbon, with a dissertation on “A Música Tradicional de Penha Garcia – Continuidade e Mudança”, currently in press with Palimage Publishers as Cancioneiro Musical de Penha Garcia. He is guest assistant teacher on the Artistic Studies Degree at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra and a teacher at the Coimbra Conservatory of Music. He transcribed the Te Deum a Quattro Voci by João de Sousa Carvalho (a manuscript dating from 1783, preserved in the General Library of the University of Coimbra), published in 2004 in the Conimbrigensis Musica Selecta collection with an introductory study by José Maria Pedrosa Cardoso.
