Heloísa Bertol Domingues

She holds a Doctorate in Social History, specialising in the History of Science, from the University of São Paulo. She is an Associate Researcher at the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Astronomy: she also coordinates the History of Science Department of the Museum. Her principal research interests are concerned with the social history of the natural sciences in Brazil during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Among her published work are articles on the history of institutions and on scientific expeditions; she has also coordinated the publication of the field diary of the anthropologist Luis de Castro Faria.
