José Maria Pedrosa d' Abreu Cardoso

A Guimarães native, his educational background features the National Conservatory School of Music, and a Doctorate in Historical Musicology and recently retired from his teaching position at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. Possessing vast musical knowledge, he has been a Guest Speaker at conferences in Portugal and abroad, speaking mostly about Sacred Music and Portuguese Historical Music. He has written articles and chapters in scientific journals and books and is the author of O Teatro Nacional de S.
