Manuel Carlos de Brito

He is Associate Professor and Coordinator at the Musical Sciences Department at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon. Prior to that he was responsible for the Musicological Studies Centre at the National Library in Lisbon and Director of the Portuguese Musicological Journal. He has dedicated his research efforts to the study of the Portuguese Musical History, particularly between the 17th and 19th centuries and especially the History of 18th century Opera.
