Maria Helena Henriques
She was born in Lisbon in 1960. She has a Degree in Geology and a Doctorate and is an Associate Professor in Palaeontology and has a Degree in Journalism from the University of Coimbra, where she has taught Palaeontology and Stratigraphy since 1983 at the Earth Sciences Department at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology. She is a specialist in Jurassic fossil invertebrates and is the author or co-author of more than eighty chapters in books or scientific articles published nationally and internationally. Her journalistic work comprises more than sixty articles published in daily newspapers and magazines, especially on themes related to the promotion of the geosciences, mainly those in respect of the Portuguese geological heritage.
