Pedro Falcão

He was born in Coimbra in 1958 and holds a Degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra. At the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the same university he concluded a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in Educational Psychology. He taught “Pedagogy and History of Education” in the former Escola do Magistério Primário in Coimbra. He was a teacher at the Technical School for Health Care Services in Coimbra, where he taught the course “Pedagogy”. He also taught “Educational Sociology” and “Educational Philosophy” at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences, Mangualde Campus and “Education, Family and Childhood” and “Theory of the Development of the Curricula” at the Higher School of Education in Coimbra. While teaching in higher education he coordinated students in their writing of final course essays in the areas of School Administration, Educational Supervision and Social Entertainment. He is presently devoting himself solely to teaching secondary school philosophy and psychology courses at the Avelar Brotero Secundary School in Coimbra. This is the first time he has had his work published.
