He was born in 1977 and works as an actor, director, producer and a playwright. He has collaborated with Artistas Unidos, the SubUrbe collective group, and since 1998, with the Belgium company tg STAN. Meanwhile he as co-created, acted, directed and presented shows in more than 15 countries. In 2003 in conjunction with Magda Bizarro he founded the organisation Mundo Perfeito, in which the work produced is based on artistic collaborations and collective endeavours. While with Mundo Perfeito, he created and coordinated the Urgências Project (focusing on new Portuguese dramaturgy) and the Estúdios Project (concentrating on artistic collaboration between Portuguese and foreign artists). His shows have been performed at prestigious festivals (Alkantara Festival, Festival d’Automne in Paris, Kunsten Festival des Arts in Brussels) and at institutions with programmes like Teatro Maria Matos and Culturgest. Tiago Rodrigues is versatile and creative and directs television shows like Zapping. He was also a screenwriter at Produções Fictícias and has written columns in several Portuguese newspapers. He wrote the screenplay and acted in the mini-series entitled Noite Sangrenta, which won the SPA Award for Best Television Fiction. He was a Guest Lecturer at the PARTS School of Dance (Brussels) and coordinated several workshops and training projects in the Performing Arts, as well as teaching theatre and dance schools (University of Évora, ESMAE, Balleteatro, Escola Superior de Dança de Lisboa and ESTAL). He collaborated as a playwright in the work of Rui Horta, Ana Borralho and João Galante. He is the author of more than 20 texts for theatre, of different types, three of the most important ones published in his first book. In 2012 the show “Três dedos abaixo do joelho” won the SPA Award for Best Show.
