Applications for speakers Soapbox Science Coimbra 2022

Creating space for female researchers to talk science with the public in the streets of Coimbra is the motto for Soapbox Science Coimbra 2022.

12 women scientists from the University of Coimbra (UC) will be challenged to climb a wooden box, without a microphone, and present their research in a simple and understandable way through the streets of Coimbra, from Alta to Baixa.

The 2022 edition of Soapbox Science Coimbra, which takes place on 23 November, aims to "ensure that all people have the opportunity to enjoy, learn, question, interact and be inspired by scientists," explains the event's organisers.
