Rehabilitation of the Main Square
Initiative
With the aim of improving mobility and pedestrian safety, creating more terraces and organizing circulation and car parking, the work on the Old Cathedral's Square was consigned in 2021 and completed in 2023.
The intervention in the Old Cathedral's Square aimed to rehabilitate the urban space at all levels of intervention in the public space, ranging from the modernization of the existing underground networks to complete repaving, including the implementation of a domestic waste collection system, the creation of a seating area and the planting of trees, creating conditions that contribute to the functional improvement of homes, hotels, commercial establishments and other buildings in the area, contributing to the general pleasantness of the space.
