European Research and Innovation Days 2025 | 16-17 Sept. 2025
On 16 and 17 September 2025, Brussels will host the sixth of the European Research and Innovation (R&I) Days, the European Commission’s annual flagship event where the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond is debated and shaped. The two-day conference will also be streamed online.
The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, business leaders and members of the wider innovation community to discuss how R&I underpin Europe’s competitiveness, sustainability and industrial leadership, supporting the EU’s key priorities.
This year’s edition comes at a critical juncture, aligning with high-level discussions on the EU’s next long-term budget and the development of major policy initiatives. These include the Startup and Scaleup Strategy, the Strategy for European Life Sciences, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Science, as well as upcoming legislation such as the European Innovation and the European Research Area (ERA) Acts.
Discussions will also focus on Choose Europe for Science, the EU’s latest initiative to attract and support leading scientists, researchers and innovators from around the world to Europe, which is being incorporated under the European Research Council (ERC) and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programmes.
The full agenda is available online, and participants can register for the event here.
