The winners of the 7th edition of the Seed Projects for Interdisciplinary Research programme will be announced this Thursday, 5 February, at 11.00 a.m., in the Senate Room.

Launched by the University of Coimbra (UC), with the support of the Santander Portugal Foundation, the programme aims to support projects within the framework of the UC Strategic Areas: Health; Climate, Energy and Mobility; Natural Resources, Agri-food and Environment; Digital, Industry and Space; and Heritage, Culture and Inclusive Society.

Each of the five winning projects — selected for their potential to develop interdisciplinary research lines with international impact and alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — will receive funding of €20,000.

The Seed Projects for Interdisciplinary Research award ceremony will feature addresses by João Ramalho-Santos (UC Vice-Rector for Research and Director of the UC Institute for Interdisciplinary Research), the coordinators of the five winning projects, and Amílcar Falcão, Rector of the University of Coimbra.
