
Short bio
Rui Pascoal obtained a degree in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra in 1991, a master degree in Financial Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra in 1996, a Ph.D. in Economics in the field of Mathematical Economics and Econometric Models by the University of Coimbra in 2007.
He is a teacher at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) since 1991, having since then tough in several fields such as Mathematics, Statistics (both descriptive and inductive), Econometrics, Financial Time Series Analysis, Interest Rate models and Credit Derivatives. He supervised Master thesis and participated in Ms juries. He is currently Assistant Professor.
He is also a researcher at the CeBER R&D center. Among his publications are articles in peer-reviewed international journals Physica A and Entropy. He participated in International Conferences, presenting communications and also as a reviewer.
