Be a Mom Coping with Depression

Be a Mom Coping with Depression is a psychological intervention program for postpartum depression, whose main objective is to reduce depressive symptoms in women during the postpartum period.

This program was developed by a team of researchers and psychologists from the Center for Research in Neuropsychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention (CINEICC) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCE-UC) with extensive clinical experience in this area.

The Be a Mom Coping with Depression intervention program lasted 13 weeks and combined consultations with a psychologist and online viewing of content (modules) from the Be a Mom Coping with Depression program. Consultations with the psychologist took place via video call.

The research team recruited women in the postpartum period to participate in a pilot study, which allowed for a preliminary evaluation of this intervention. This pilot study was approved by the FPCE-UC Ethics Committee.
