Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, 6-10 may 2019

Within the framework of the Doctoral Programme’s activities, a fieltrip to Sarajevo took place from May 6th to May 10th, involving doctoral students and professors. This fieldtrip to a post-violent conflict setting allowed for an active participation of all elements in various work meetings, interviews and one workshop that took place at the International University Sarajevo. The various actors involved were representative of the different sectors of the Bosnian society and this was important for students and professors to have a more integrated and comprehensive understanding of the peace process, 25 years after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement. The fieldtrip also allowed students to have contact with a concrete post-conflict reality and acquire/develop experience and skills in terms of preparing and conducting fieldwork.
