Workshop Invasion and Migration
Migration is a key property of live cells and critical for normal development, immune response, and disease processes such as cancer metastasis and inflammation. Methods to evaluate cell migration are very useful and important for a wide range of biomedical research.
The general aim of this workshop is to understand cell migration and invasion at different levels: molecular, cellular and in the living organism. The workshop will cover general mechanism of cell migration in 2D and 3D substrates; different modes of migration such as single and collective cell migration; and it will provide the examples of normal cell migration during tissue morphogenesis and cancer cells migration/invasion.
