Biografia
Rita Correia is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering working as a researcher at Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research (CIBIT), a research unit hosted at the Institute for Nuclear Sciences Applied to Health (ICNAS), University of Coimbra, Portugal. Her work is mainly focused on physiological measures of the autonomic nervous system extracted from multimodal biosignals and their relationship with the individual’s emotional state, with the goal of finding optimization strategies for personalized health solutions for different clinical and non-clinical populations. Rita’s academic and professional interests include biomedical data processing, pattern recognition, physiological synchrony, personalized healthcare, consciousness, emotion, and cognition.
