The research group aims to better understand and treat cardiovascular ageing. To tackle this question, the group is using novel in vitro cell/tissue models from human stem cells, and particularly induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), isolated from patients with accelerated ageing processes, performing drug screening programs using both small molecules and RNA-based drugs, and developing advanced systems to delivery efficiently the anti-ageing drugs.
