Brief description

A clinical and functional Imaging study on dopaminergic and serotonergic systems:

Clinical and imaging assessment of patients in the two-week period prior to the intervention (baseline period):
a) A clinical evaluation of the motor, non-motor and quality of life symptoms will be carried out through the application of scales and questionnaires suggested by the "International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society" and validated for Parkinson's Disease.
b) A structural brain imaging study will be performed with a 3T Brain MRI
c) A functional brain imaging study will be performed with PET scan using the radioligand [11C]WAY-100635 (5-HT1A serotonin receptor marker) and [18F]FDOPA radioligand (pre-synaptic dopaminergic receptor marker) to evaluate the serotonergic and dopaminergic brain circuits, respectively. Patients perform the PET scans on different days within a week.
