Rita Marnoto

Dedicou trabalhos à literatura italiana contemporânea (vanguardas históricas, teatro moderno, neo-realismo, pós-modernismo), às vanguardas portuguesas do início do século XX e à recepção de Pirandello e de outros escritores contemporâneos em Portugal; às relações entre Portugal e Itália na época do Risorgimento; à história da literatura portuguesa do século XVIII e à Arcadia Romana; à poesia portuguesa barroca; a Luís de Camões, coordenando um projecto sobre o seu comentário, à sociedade de corte ou ao petrarquismo português do século XVI. Elaborou a edição crítica da princeps de Os Lusíadas, esclarecendo questões que se arrastavam desde o século XVII. Estabeleceu criticamente o texto do Diário de Fernando Távora. Traduziu para português Bodoni e Pirandello e traduziu para italiano Carolina Michaëlis. Além disso, tem vindo a desenvolver actividade no campo da dramaturgia e da reflexão sobre as artes plásticas. Recebeu várias distinções, de entre as quais a de «Grande Ufficiale della Repubblica» do «Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana», atribuída pelo Presidente da República Italiana Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. Faz parte do Comitato Nazioniale Pier Paolo Pasolini. Membro da Academia das Ciências de Lisboa. Comissária das Comemorações do V Centenário do Nascimento de Luís Vaz de Camões (2024-2025). /// Rita Marnoto is a Professor at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Coimbra, where she teaches Italian Studies, Translation and Literature and Arts. She is Director of the PhD in Modern Languages-Cultures, Literatures, Translation, Coordinator of the Italian Studies Section and Vice-President of the "Centre International d Études Portugaises de Genève". She dedicated works to contemporary Italian literature (historical avant-gardes, modern theater, neo-realism, post-modernism), to the Portuguese avant-gardes of the early 20th century and to the reception of Pirandello and other contemporary writers in Portugal; to relations between Portugal and Italy at the time of the Risorgimento; the history of Portuguese literature from the 18th century and the Roman Arcadia; to baroque Portuguese poetry; to Luís de Camões, coordinating a project on his commentary, to court society or Portuguese Petrarchism in the 16th century. She prepared the critical edition of the princeps of Os Lusíadas, clarifying issues that had been ongoing since the 17th century. She critically established the text of Fernando Távora's Diary. She translated Bodoni and Pirandello into Portuguese and translated Carolina Michaëlis into Italian. Furthermore, she has been developing activities in the field of dramaturgy and reflection on the visual arts. She received several distinctions, including that of «Grande Ufficiale della Repubblica» of the «Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana», awarded by the President of the Italian Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. She is part of the Comitato Nazioniale Pier Paolo Pasolini. Member of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences. Commissioner for the Celebrations of the 5th Centenary of the Birth of Luís Vaz de Camões (2024-2025).
