Associate Professor of Film Studies at the University of Coimbra. Completed the Licenciatura in Arquitectura in 2002 at the University of Lisbon, Doctor of Philosophy in Film Studies in 2010 at the University of Kent, Master in Film Studies in 2005 at the University of Kent and Postgraduate Certificate in Associate Teacher Accreditation Program (ATAP) in 2008 at the University of Kent. Attends the Master in Theology at Durham University since 2018.

Is Researcher at the University of Coimbra - Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares (CEIS20), Researcher at the Catholic University of Portugal - Centro de Investigação em Teologia e Estudos da Religião, Researcher at Nova University of Lisbon - Instituto de Filosofia. Published 38 articles in journals. Has 35 sections of books and 5 books. Organized 38 events. Participated in 193 events. Supervised 3 PhD theses and co-supervised 3. Supervised 20 Masters dissertations e co-supervised 2. Has received 3 awards and/or honors. Participates and/or participated as Research Fellow in 2 projects, Researcher in 3 projects and Supervisor in 1 project. Works in the areas of Humanities with emphasis on Arts, Studies on Film, Radio and Television, Humanities, and Philosophy, Ethics and Religion, with emphasis on Philosophy, Theology, Religious Studies.
