UPVM3 students involved in promoting active mobility on campus as part of the Cycling Campus & City project in Montpellier
Every year, teachers involved in the Master programs in Mathematics and Computer Sciences applied to Human and Social Sciences and in Digital Communication and Organisations at Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University organize a mutual one week Hackathon-style challenge for the students.
In 4 days, students must create, in small groups, a website or an application, data science analyses and communication supports (poster, promotional vidéos, social networks materials, etc.) meeting the needs of an external sponsor of the training.
This year, Marion Le Texier (Ass. prof. in Geography) and Malou Schueller (intern), as part of the Erasmus+ Cycling Campus & City project, asked the students to create a series of designs and videos to promote a mobility challenge in the campus using the MUV app and to develop a dashboard summarizing the main patterns of the mobility tracks.
The team, composed by Armengol Louise, Armatol Salomé, Déjean Lucas, Saya Houria, Maïo Maeva, Girondin Audric and Duckes Jonathan, met both sponsors' and teachers' expectations and won this year marathon!
