Support for Students

The Academic Assistance at the UC is carried out by the Academic Management Services which deal with all the issues concerning the students’ academic pathway, from their application to the issuance of their diploma.

The UC, by means of the Academic Management Services, provides its students with different communication channels concerning the academic procedures they have to undertake during their whole academic pathway. Therefore, the schedule and opening hours of the In-Person and Telephone Academic Assistance are published at the beginning of each year at Academic Services Assistance | UC.

The Telephone Assistance provides daily the number +351 239 247 195, with automatic voice assistance permanently available.

The Assistance by Email is carried out by means of the online form www.uc.pt/en/academic-services/e-mail.

• The doubts/questions, problems and requests concerning applications, enrolment and registration, tuition fee, special and extraordinary exams, students’ status and special situations, certificates and diplomas, submission of Thesis (PhD), should be addressed to the Academic Management Services.

By email and a notification at InforEstudante. After enrolment, an email account is created which is the official email address of each UC Student. You may forward emails from this account to another email address, with some precautions.

Institutional email and official channel for UC communications

Immediately after the enrolment at InforEstudante an email account is created, associated with the domain @student.uc.pt. This account is the official email address of each Student used by the UC to contact them and serves as a credential to access a wide number of online services made available to the University community.

Yes, you can. By means of the Employability Promotion Centre, in which you can obtain all the necessary information to do the internships.

In order to support students with special educational needs, the University of Coimbra provides, by means of the Núcleo de Integração e Aconselhamento dos Serviços de Ação Social da UC [Centre for Integration and Counselling of the Social Services of the UC] (SASUC), a set of support services and means of support.

There is the possibility for the student to consider the request for the status of Student with Special Educational Needs if a clinical condition continues to exist with impact on the learning process. Therefore, the student may get further information about this issue at the Centre for Integration and Counselling of the Social Services of the UC.

The Social Services of the University of Coimbra make available Medical Services regarding different specialties, which is why you should consult the Social Services webpage in order to obtain further information. You may contact the Centre for Scholarships of the Social Services.

By means of the website www.uc.pt/en/sasuc/Accommodation you can get information about university residences and how to apply to that type of accommodation.

Yes, you do, but it depends on some conditions. The University of Coimbra assigns the minimum tuition fee to the students who have more than one member of their household attending a Bachelor’s, an Integrated Master’s or Continuity Master’s Degree Course at this University. You request the student-athlete status of the UC at https://desporto.uc.pt, which are the services responsible for controlling and monitoring all the procedures required by that status. In accordance with the Regulation on the UC Student-Athlete Status, the student benefits from this status during the academic year in which it is recognised.
