CIE participated in the ESCIB Project Meeting in Utrecht, The Netherlands

CIE researchers Carla Rodrigues and Zulfiqar Ali participated in the 18th General Assembly of the ESCIB project (funded by Horizon Europe) held in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

On June 25 and 26, 2025, the ESCIB project's General Assembly (GA) took place in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The GA was organized by Utrecht University and GrowBio (one of the project's industrial partners). The EU-funded Horizon Europe ESCIB project (www.escib.eu) aims to develop environmental sustainability and circularity assessment methodologies for bio-based industrial systems. The Center for Industrial Ecology contributes to the ESCIB project with prospective life cycle assessments (LCAs) and circularity assessments of bio-based products in early stages of development.
