ADAI researcher awarded in UC Seed Projects with the EnviroSense project

Behrang Chenari, PhD, a researcher in Sustainable Energy Systems at CSBE (Center for the Sustainability of the Built Environment) of ADAI, has been awarded in the 2025 Seed Projects of the University of Coimbra (UC) in the panel of Climate, Energy and Mobility.

EnviroSense – Smart Well-being for Every Space is an interdisciplinary project that proposes an innovative solution to monitor indoor environmental quality and occupant health in real-time, enhancing well-being and energy efficiency. By leveraging advanced technologies for environmental monitoring and control, the project aims to develop smart solutions that promote healthier and more sustainable indoor environments. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, EnviroSense seeks to drive innovation and create a positive impact on society by improving indoor living and working conditions.

The 6th Edition of the “Seed Projetos for Interdisciplinary Research” with the support of the Santander Portugal Foundation, promoted by the Strategic Areas Unit of the UC (NAE) in collaboration with the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research (IIIUC). The award ceremony highlighted the impact of the Seed Projects in fostering innovative projects led by young researchers, reinforcing UC’s commitment to research excellence.
