Inov C, a strategic program led by the University of Coimbra, conducted its first international mission, in Macau, dedicated to the canvassing of collaboration opportunities in the field of the Creative Industries. From the 23rd to the 26th of October 2014, delegates from the University of Coimbra, the Polytechnic Institutes of Coimbra and Leiria, the Institute Pedro Nunes’ Incubator, the D. Dinis Incubator, the Technological Park of Óbidos and from iClio (spin-off from the University of Coimbra) took part in the 19th edition of the most important business fair of Macau, the Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF).

The participation of the Inov C delegation in the MIF aimed at enhancing the dialog between China and Portugal in the area of Creative Industries through the canvassing of new markets, the promotion of its reference products and the broadening of its target audience. Parallel meetings were also be held with main stakeholders of the Region and with internationally renowned institutions.

The mission allowed the consolidation of local contacts in the area of Cultural and Creative Industries as well as the public presentation of the Platform for Cultural and Creative Industries Portugal-Macau.
