The Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association visited the University of Coimbra on the 24th of June, 2014. The delegation, composed of twelve young members, was received by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Joaquim Ramos de Carvalho and the Vice-Rector for Culture, Communication and Heritage, Professor Clara Almeida Santos.
After the visit to World Heritage sites of the University of Coimbra, the delegation also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition «Universidade de Coimbra, Alta e Sofia: um convite a espreitar», held at the Municipal Museum.
This visit was a learning opportunity on issues related to heritage management and protection and also a chance to share experiences. The Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association aims at raising the awareness for the importance of heritage preservation and enhancing the youth education in cultural heritage.
