On 27 April 2023, a delegation from the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) led by Prof. Chan Tong Lam, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of MPU and Director of the MPU-UC Joint Research Laboratory in Advanced Technologies for Smart Cities, was welcomed at the Senate Hall by the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni of the University of Coimbra, Prof. João Nuno Calvão da Silva.
In the meeting with the UPM delegation, also composed by Jacky Tang, Coordinator of BSc in Computing at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of MPU, and Maggie Hau, Head of Pedagogic and Research Affairs Office of MPU, were also present the Director of the Department of Computer Engineering of FCTUC, Prof. Edmundo Monteiro, and the Vice-Director of the MPU-UC Joint Laboratory, Prof. António José Mendes (DEI-FCTUC), as well as the Head of the International Relations Unit of the UC, Silvia Silva Dias.
