2020 Chinese New Year Festival Gala

On the evening of January 20, 2020, the 2020 Chinese New Year Festival Gala (2020年春节联欢晚会) was held at the Conservatory of Music of Coimbra, hosted by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Portugal and co-organized by the Confucius Institute at the University of Coimbra.

The 2020 Chinese New Year Festival Gala, held for the first time outside of Lisbon, celebrated the Lunar New Year of the Rat, that will start officially on January 25.

The programme of the Gala included dance, choir and music performances from the Macao Qijiang Middle School Dance Troupe, the Macao Cainongzi Children's School Choir and also students and teachers of the Conservatory of Music and the Confucius Institute of Coimbra.
