Renewal of cooperation agreements with Beijing Foreign Studies University

On 27 March 2025, a delegation from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), led by the President of the University Council, Wang Dinghua, was received in the Senate Hall of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra (UC) by the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Alumni, João Nuno Calvão da Silva. On this occasion, the Cooperation Agreement between the two Higher Education Institutions was renewed, as well as the agreement on the establishment the BFSU-UC Centre, than runs under the Sino-Lusophone Academy of the UC.

The reception was also attended by the Director and Deputy Director of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Albano Figueiredo and João Luís Fernandes, the Directors of the Confucius Institute, Cristina Zhou and Ye Xiao, as well as the Head of the International Relations Unit, Silvia Silva Dias.
