Biografia
Born in São Roque do Pico, Azores, he holds a degree in Architecture and a PhD in Architecture with a specialization in Architecture and Construction, both from the University of Coimbra. Since 1995, he has been teaching in Design and Construction curricular units. Since 2015, he has also been involved in the Master’s Degree in Building Rehabilitation, teaching courses focused on the non-structural components of the program.
He is a researcher at the Centre for Architectural Studies - from Territory to Design (ceArq-TD) at the University of Coimbra and the author of books and articles on topics such as the characterization of built heritage, the history of construction, and architectural practice.
