António Monteiro

Biografia

António Monteiro (Trancoso, 1983) has a Master’s degree in Architecture (2008) and is an Invited Assistant at the Department of Architecture of the FCTUC. He is currently developing his doctoral thesis at the UC with a scholarship funded by the FCT (DOI https://doi.org/10.54499/2022.13766.BD). His research focuses on the digital reconstruction of lost buildings and unbuilt architectural projects, using as a case study the urban place where the General Library of the UC now exists - a place that held the “Estudo Geral” by D. Dinis, the College of St. Paul, the Academic Theatre project and the first building of the Faculty of Arts. He was a researcher in the project Santa Cruz 1834 (https://santacruz.ces.uc.pt/). He was a Invited Assistant (2009–2012) in the area of Drawing at the Department of Architecture and Landscape of the Vasco da Gama University School, Coimbra. He also lectured 3D Animation (2015) in the Art and Design course at the Polytechnic of Coimbra. He was involved in the creation of the “SketchCrawlCoimbra” (2012) and was a member of “Salão 40 – Drawing of the Human Body”. He has collaborated with professionals in the fields of Architecture, Drawing and Design. His main interests are Drawing and Technology.
