Biografia

Maria João de Oliveira Sousa Pinto (1975) holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Coimbra (2000) and a Master's in Visual Arts Education from the University of Aveiro (2011). She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Architecture at UC. Between 2006 and 2010, she also attended a degree in Civil Engineering at ISEC, completing her second year. Since 2016, she has been collaborating with the Department of Architecture at UC as a Guest Assistant in the courses of Geometry and Drawing I. Concurrently, she has been developing architectural projects as a freelance worker, conducting various training sessions in the field of representation—both manual and digital—and teaching Visual Education and Descriptive Geometry to various groups in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of primary education and secondary school. Her research interests focus on the relationship between project development methodologies and representation systems, with a particular emphasis on Descriptive Geometry and Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
