Biografia

 

Nuno Grande (Luanda, 1966) graduated in Architecture from the University of Porto in 1992. He obtained his PhD in Architecture from the University of Coimbra in 2009, with the academic thesis titled "Architectures of Culture: Politics, Debate, and Space." He has been a professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Coimbra (DARQ/FCTUC) since 1993 and has been a guest professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Porto since 2006, teaching in the Urbanism course. As a curator and cultural programmer, he has organized exhibitions on Portuguese Architecture for events such as Porto 2001, European Capital of Culture; Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2007; São Paulo Architecture Biennial 2007; and Guimarães 2012, European Capital of Culture. As a critic, he occasionally writes for architecture magazines published in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Korea, and Japan. He is the author or editor of several publications on Portuguese Architectural and Urban Culture.
