Clara Barata is a Professor of Inclusive Education at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and a researcher at CEIS20 Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, both at the University of Coimbra. She has been the lead researcher on European projects focused on aspects of multicultural inclusion. As a manager in the UC Strategic Areas, she led the GendER@UC initiative, which aims to strengthen the integration of the gender perspective in UC's research processes and content. She also participated in the GendER@UC EEA Grants and Equal.Steam projects at UC. Her involvement with various sectors has grown through external consultancy for projects at the OECD, Gulbenkian Foundation, Eurydice, Ministry of Education and FCT.

Maria Jorge Ferro has a degree in Psychology, a Master's in Educational Psychology and a PhD in Psychology (Counselling). She works as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Coimbra. As a teacher, she focuses particularly on the implications of multiculturalism on psychological development and learning. Her main areas of research are Critical Theory, Ethics, Models of Multiculturalism and Counselling Models, and Qualitative Methodologies.
