João Emanuel Diogo is a Collaborating Researcher at the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies. He has devoted himself to the study of the history of philosophy and ethics, and is a member of the Laboratory of Rationality and Applied Ethics, where he has conducted workshops for PhD students on ethics in research. Among other publications, he coordinated the book Eutanásia (Euthanasia) (Editora d’Ideias, 2023).

Pedro Urbano holds a PhD in Psychology (specialising in Theory and History of Psychology). He has been a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra since 1997, where he teaches courses on Evolutionary Psychology, History, Epistemology and Ethics, areas that have helped him to deepen his understanding of death and mourning. He is a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies/CEIS20 (UC), a founding member of the Centre International des Études sur la Mort/International Centre for Death Studies, based in Strasbourg, and a member of the Institut de Recherche et d’Action sur la Fraude et le Plagiat Académiques. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the French journal Études sur la mort since 2019.
