Biografia

Cristina Clímaco has a PhD in Western Societies from the University of Paris 7 Denis Diderot. She is a lecturer at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis, and an integrated researcher at the Laboratoire d'Études Romanes of the same university. His research focuses on Portuguese-French relations, exile and emigration, the history of the Portuguese opposition and the history of anti-fascism. As part of a partnership between Paris 8 and the CNRS, he is currently carrying out research at the Institut d'Histoire du Temps Présent (IHTP) on the Portuguese in the Resistance in France during the Second World War. Her works include Republicanos, Socialistas e Comunistas no exílio (1927-1936), Lisbon, Colibri, 2017, and Les Portugais et la guerre d'Espagne, thematic issue of the journal Exil et Migrations Ibériques aux XXe etXXIe siècles, n°11-12, 2020, which she co-ordinated with Marie-Christine Volovitch-Tavares.
