Biografia
João Carlos Santos Pinho was born on October 26, 1975, in the Parish of Sé Nova – Coimbra. Historian, Investigated, Cultural entrepreneur, contributor to the regional press. He took the Municipal Administration Course promoted by the Center for Municipal Studies and Training (CEFA, 1996). Degree in History, variant of Art History and scientific branch (2000), from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra. Postgraduate in Social Communication Law (2018) and PhD in Contemporary Studies (2019-2022) from III/CEIS 20 with the thesis «THE ACTIVITY OF THE DOCTOR AND SURGEON BISSAYA-BARRETO IN THE HOSPITALS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COIMBRA, 1911-1956 - contributions to the History of Medicine and Surgery in Portugal». Since 2000, he has dedicated himself to research in the area of the History of the Municipality of Coimbra, having published monographs on the following parishes: - Button (2002); S. João do Campo (2005); Eiras, (2008); Santa Cruz (2010); Arzila (2013); Souselas (2013); S. Martinho do Bispo (2021) From 2002 to 2008 he was a Researcher at the Bissaya-Barreto Foundation and the Bissaya-Barreto Superior Institute. Collaborator since 2006 at the Mediacentro Group. Expert from Coimbramaisfuturo on the route to enhance rural heritage (2022-2023).
